Cordelia is an intelligent and caring woman, but she can be difficult to work with
considering her origins. She comes from an alliance of human colonies that were
presumed lost in the twenty-second century when twelve Conestoga Class Colony Ships
disappeared. Systems Confederation humans hold much in common with Federation
humans but also have many differences. SC Humans hold the preservation of personal
liberties to be more important than the preservation of peace, but that dose not mean
they do not value peace. However, they do believe peace is maintained, not guranteed.
Peace has to be protected through eternal vigilance, and it is not for free. While she
holds amicable relations with many people of the Federation Races, all SC humans
despise Cardassians, Jem'hadar, and Breen. If there is a threat to her or her friends, she
will always fall back on defense rather than diplomacy. She still has somewhat of a prima
donna attitude, but she has been refined a lot by her experiences.
Strengths and Weaknesses:
Corde has exceptional ability in Engineering. SC Humans are amougst the finest
engineers in the Alpha Quadrant next to the Federation, and their technology is as
advanced as the very best of Federation Technology. However, SC humans can be seen
as proud and more arrogant than Andorians. They do not fall back on diplomacy like the
Federation dose, but they are capable of diplomacy. They may seem to be high-strung,
but they are always loyal to a fault.

History:
Cordelia Vanders was born on the central colony of the United Colonial Systems
Confederation, a group of twenty-four independant but allied colonies that had been
formed from twelve Conestoga Colony Ships that settled the Colonial Cluster in the
Typhon Expanse. For most of her life, she would live on the Central World of Neo
Manhattan. Her father was the System Governor and her mother was the CINC of the
Colonial Fleet. Not even her older sister had a moment to spend with Cordelia as she was
growing up, so a sort of a prima dona attitude developed when she was young and
constantly in rebellion with her parents and her governor.
Often she woud sneak out and spend her time on the streets of Neo Manhattan. Street
life became the only life she ever knew, that was until the Breen discovered the Colonies.
A Dominion Invasion Fleet was sent to invade the Colonies and the fleet managed to
catch the Colonial Navy and the central colonies completely off guard. The Dominion
occupied eighteen of the Systems Confederation Colonies however they were
unsuccessful at eliminating all of the Colonial Navy. The Fleet managed to regroup and
retreat to the outer worlds, but the Dominion would experience enormous amounts of
insurgency on the occupied worlds.
Cordelia was the first to join the many resistance groups that were forming to oppose
Dominion Rule. With each guerilla attack, more troops had to be stationed on garrison
duty. This gave the Colonial Navy the chance it needed to strike back at the Dominion.
After six months of intense fighting, Neo Britain was liberated. This important victory
gave the Colonies the resources and the morale boost to turn the tide. When Neo Britain
was liberated, it sent a symbolic message to the occupied colonies. The Dominion
attempted to suppress the broadcast of the Neo British singing their colonial anthem,
more colonials began to rise up in defiance of the Dominion, and it would be this same
colony wide broadcast that got the attention of the Federation.
A Federation Alliance Task Force was send to investigate this signal and what they
found, not far from the Federation's boarders, was the besieged colonies. With new allies
and the shipyards of Neo Britian, one by one each colony was liberated. But the war on
the Colonial Front left the Navy drained. The best the Colonies could do, in the Extended
war with the Dominion, was to provide manufactured goods and food to the Federation
Alliance forces. Colonial Shipyards were used to service Romulan, Klingon, and
Federation fleets under the guard of what remained of the Colonial Navy.
After the war, Diplomatic relations were very successful. The Colonies are interested in
Federation Membership, but Many Colonials feel that freedom is more important than
peace. Reguardless, the Colonies are a loyal ally, and hopes are high for the eventuality
of Federation Membership. An anticipation of this, more shipyards are being
constructed, and even a branch campus for Starfleet Academy on Neo Manhattan. Many
in the Federation believe that Membership will come soon.
Corde fought along with Federation Troops during the Liberation of Neo Manhattan. and
she developed somewhat of a respect for them. She was the first of her kind to join
Starfleet Academy under a program to strengthen ties with the Colonies and the
Federation.
