Tia was brought up travelling the galaxy with her merchant parents on
their Freighter. They travelled far and wide throughout the Alpha &
Beta Quadrants.. Occasionally they even took a few covert trips through
the Bajoran wormhole and traded in the Gamma Quadrant. Those
trips, however, were never recorded in the log. Tia's parents were very
sociable with their clients, but had little time for her. Tia mainly watched
and observed as her family busied themselves with making a profit and
planning their next valuable exchange. Tia couldn't say she was treated
badly, but she does feel like she was treated more like a crew member
than a family member. Her father was named Pargo Zedel and her
mother was Murnos (Sulstra) Zedel. Tia has no known siblings. (It is
rumored that her father has been less than discrete when it comes to
being untrue in his marriage, however that has never been mentioned
to Tia by her parents, only whispers she overheard growing spoken by
various crew members aboard their freighter).
TRAINING:
During all these wondrous travels Tia developed an interest in Biology
and Exobiology and on her 16th Birthday, and to her parents horror
and disgust, entered Starfleet Academy in Paris France.. She
graduated with a Major in Science and Minor in Medicine. Not really
knowing if she wanted to continue with Starfleet, Tia spent the next
two years as a junior pilot and tactical officer on a Boslic Freighter.. She
looks back on those days with much regret. Next she took a
commission on the USS Dixon as Asst./Chief Security Officer where
she stayed for 1 year. After deciding she still wasn't satisfied, she
entered Command School at the age of 23. Two years later she
graduated and was assigned as Chief Security Officer and Second
Officer on the USS Granger where she served for one year. Next she
joined the crew of the USS Mariposa as Executive Officer for another
two years. At the age of 29, she obtained her own Command
aboard the USS Viking. Then in 2386 she was asked to take command
of the USS Pioneer.

PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE;
Tia is for the most part a no-nonsense kind of person. She has
rejected the morals and goals of her race, but still has the inherent traits
of a business-like attitude. She is still very much a material girl. She
does, however, try to maintain a sense of play when off duty. On duty,
though, she is Strictly By The Book. Not at all prone to outbursts of
emotionalism. Will kill without a blink of the eye if required. Not shy,
but not easy to get close to.
PHYSICAL PROFILE;
The Boslic are more dense in their musculature than the average
human which gives them slightly greater strength, close to that of a
Klingon in comparison. The Boslic forehead has four cranial lobes
which sense slight variations in pressure and heat (similar to a Terran
Dolphis echolocation melon). This attribute comes in quite handy in
certain circumstances.
RACE PROFILE;
The Boslic are a spacefaring civilization that have developed an
extensive trade market with almost every race in both the Alpha and
Beta quadrants. Although not driven by the same greed as the Ferengi,
the Boslic still maintain making a profit as a high priority, a decision that
has often caused them to step across the line of legality as set by the
Federation and several other unaligned races. Although not a member
of the U.F.P., they are considered as acceptable trade partners most of
the time. Boslic are Humanoid with heavily ridged eyebrows, high
foreheads and light purple hair. They are not overly aggressive, but
have been known to, under certain circumstance,s commit acts of
violence including murder.. They are some of the most feared traders,
smugglers and criminals of the galaxy. In this respect they have a lot in
common with Orions. The main exception being Orion's tend to go out
in groups, Boslic are extremely independent in their business
operations.
Boslic have been called "the Beautiful Ferengi". Their social structure is
pretty much the same as the Ferengi, except Boslic are matriarchal.
Boslic women are in charge of the finances and property..
